Authorizing a contract with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health for the period January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025, in the total not to exceed amounts of $213,433 for 2024 and $235,512 for 2025, for health permitting, licensing and enforcement under Ohio law, and to provide various health related services to the City’s residents. Enacting new Chapter 549 of the Business Regulation Code and repealing Chapter 386 of the Health Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City to require tobacco retailers to obtain an annual permit, and authorizing the city or its agent to administer the permit, and enforce the prohibitions of sales to persons under 21 years of age, including by assessing civil penalties. 8. Authorizing an amendment to the contract with Thompson Hine LLP to represent the City in real estate legal matters related to the Arcadia Development Project at 3393 Warrensville Center Road, at a blended rate of $400 per hour. (ADM) (FIN)
9. Authorizing a personal professional services contract with shark & minnow inc., in the total amount not to exceed $157,862, for the period January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025, for professional marketing and public relations services. (ADM) (FIN)
10. Authorizing a contract with Fallsway Equipment without formal competitive bidding for the upfitting of three 2023 Chevy Tahoe police cruisers for the Police Department, in the total amount of $42,752.88, and declaring an emergency. (FIN)
11. Authorizing the acceptance of a grant of funds in the amount of $399,846 to be used for the expansion of the City’s mental health response team and related activities, and establishing the “Mental Health Response Team Fund” (Fund No. 0284) as a special revenue fund, and declaring an emergency.
